First time homebuyers $8000 Tax Credit
|

| The homebuyer tax credit was extended and expanded. A first time homebuyer is considered to be anyone who has not owned a home in the past 3 years. The tax credit for first-time buyers is $8,000. ($4,000 for married individuals filing separately).
Changes are: Buyer must be under contract by April 30 and must close no later than June 30, 2010.
